Agreement made this ________ day of ________________________, ___________, between Kitty Burke & Kathy Gertler, hereinafter called the “Handler’s”, and________________________________, hereinafter called “Owner or Responsible Person”. This agreement will continue until terminated in writing by either party. Schedule A charge of $65.00 per show for Handling. A charge of $10.00 per day for Boarding. Specialties and Supported Entries at All Breed Shows will be charged a double handling fee, Sweepstakes are an additional $65.00. ***All road expenses will be divided equally among all dogs kept in our care each weekend. Expenses include gas, tolls, parking, etc… Same rates apply whether the dog is shown or just along for training. Ringside Pick Up rate will be $100.00 plus any Additional fees incurred as shown below. Owners will have dogs neat, clean and in show condition waiting ringside. If your dog misses the ring or is not in presentable condition due to owner omissions you will still be responsible for payment. Payment will be expected at completion of each show weekend! All Dogs carried in the truck for training or special purposes are subject to weekend expense fees, plus a minimum fee of $10.00 per day Training Fee even if not being shown. *** Additional Expenses and handling fees for Nationals and Independent Specialties will be charged per agreement of the handler and owner. This also includes Westminster and Invitational. Veterinary charges are the responsibility of the dog’s owner. The dog is boarded, trained, or otherwise cared for by the handler’s without liability for loss or damage from disease, death, or injury while being transported, running away, theft, fire, injury to or from a person, injury to or from other dogs, injury to property, or other unavoidable causes. All dogs will receive the handler’s personal care and attention in accordance with Professional standards. All dogs are shown by the handler’s except when circumstances arise beyond their control, such as a conflict in the judging schedule, in which case the handler’s will secure another competent handler to show the dog. What dog the handler’s shows is at their discretion. The sole criteria used will be which dog has the best chance to win given the circumstances.
Handling fees will be charged unless the entry is withdrawn by the owner, and the handler is notified 24 hours prior to the entry closing date, to allow the handler’s the ability to find a replacement for that class. If it is the owner’s responsibility to get a dog to the show and fails to do so, or if the dog is late for judging or is not in proper condition, the owner is responsible for the handling fee, and expenses incurred for that show. Clients can choose to send their preferred food along with their dogs, or they will be billed a per day food charge based on the amount of food fed for the ideal weight of their dog. WE WILL NOT FEED RAW DIETS! We feed and use Trilogy and Healthy Pet net products on our dogs. The food we feed is Life’s Abundance, an all natural diet made in the US. For more information see our web site. www.trilogyonline.com/kathygertler Ribbons, tear sheets (when available), and awards, other than cash, will be sent out as soon as possible after each circuit. All prize money, including special classes, goes to the handler’s. Owner / Client is responsible for payment of any and all expenses that are incurred to the handler for the destruction of handlers property, which is caused by the owner / clients specific dog. This destruction is to include but not limited to the following items i.e.: Crates, rugs/mats, and leashes. It is agreed the owner will pay all entry fees, veterinary fees, photography and advertising statements for ads placed by mutual agreement of owner and handler. It is further agreed and understood that all amounts due and owing the handler under this contract will be due upon receipt of handlers monthly statement. If payment is made via a personal or business check, and said check is returned due to insufficient funds the client is responsible for all additional expenses that are incurred. If the statement remains unpaid for thirty days, said amount so billed will therefore bear interest at the legal rate until paid.
